Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan have added to their real estate assets by purchasing Mulund West apartments in Mumbai for Rs. 24.95 crore.
The pair bought ten units in Oberoi Realty's upscale residential development, Eternia, according to records examined by real estate website Square Yards. Mulund West is considered a premier residential neighborhood as it provides easy access to Mumbai's central and western regions. The neighborhood has drawn both professionals and wealthy buyers due to its reputation for combining cutting-edge infrastructure.
The Bachchans have invested in Eternia, which offers roomy ready-to-move-in 3 and 4 BHK residences. The total carpet area of the newly acquired properties spans 10,216 sq. ft.
Of the 10 apartments, eight measure 1,049 sq. ft. each, while two span 912 sq.
ft. per unit. The transaction also includes two car parking spaces per apartment.
The deal incurred a total stamp duty of Rs. 1.50 crore.
Abhishek Bachchan bought six of the apartments for Rs. 14.77 crore, while Amitabh purchased the remaining four.
This latest investment adds to the Bachchan family’s substantial property portfolio, which includes residential and commercial spaces in Oshiwara and Magathane. According to media reports, the Bachchans have accumulated property valued at Rs. 219 crore since 2020, accounting for more than 25% of celebrity real estate sales in the Mumbai Metropolitan Area.
