AMIR KHAN has placed a whopping £12.5million price tag on his luxury wedding venue in Bolton. The boxing icon made the announcement about the "Dubai-Style" venue on social media in the early hours of Friday morning.
In his post, the 37-year-old said: "I am looking to sell my wedding hall for £12.5m. "The property features four floors, including three dedicated wedding floors and a rooftop events terrace.
"Additionally, there is parking available at both the front and rear, accommodating up to 200 vehicles." Named "The Balmayna, the stunning venue is located in Bolton opposite a car wash and fly-tipping spot, which had left it within touching distance of broken fridges and dirty mattresses in January. Reports have placed the construction of the hall on Washington Street in Deane at as high a price as £14m, though Khan's wife Faryal Makhdoom has claimed the couple spent £15m on the project. The banquet hall of the site - which first gained planning permission in 2013 but was dogged by delays - stands at 44,700 sq ft, with the first glamorous wedding there being held in May.
