An American visiting Primark for the very first time has been mocked on social media after she made a classic mistake. Bella Woodard (@b_woodard) shared her experience on TikTok after popping into one of the 24 Primark locations in the US. Although Primark launched its first outlet in Dublin in 1969, it now proudly operates 191 stores in the UK, along with many others worldwide.
"Who was going to tell me Primark is the cheapest store ever?" Bella captioned the video. In the clip, she could be heard saying: "I always see people talking about a store called Primark and I'm here in Chicago right now where there is one. I have never been to one ever and I've always wanted to.
" Nevertheless, the comment section was flooded with corrections about her pronunciation, pointing out that she had mispronounced the store name and that 'Pree-mark' should have been spoken as 'Pry-mark'.
