AMERICAN Pickers star Mike Wolfe has shared renovation updates as he continues to work on his 151-year-old Tennessee home. The History Channel star's house project has been controversial to some fans who claim he's taking away from the house's integrity, but Mike , 60, recently explained some of his design choices. On Sunday, the American Pickers star posted photos of the outside of the home, revealing a covered porch coming off the tower he recently had added.

The photo showed him holding an old black-and-white pic of the house, which looked strikingly similar to what Mike was doing with his renovations. Mike then shared photos from the inside of the newly added portion of the home, showing a bump-out with windows stretching from floor to ceiling. The star closed out the post by showing off the amber-colored fireplace with a large gold mirror on top and a massive vintage bike sitting next to it.

More American Pickers In his caption, he explained some of the choices he made. "The 1873 Italianate I’ve been working on for a few yes in Columbia TN is coming together. This house was missing the tower and the porch," he began.

"The millwork along with the craftsmanship of the masonry has brought it back to its formal glory." Mike's message concluded with, "Places like this to me belong to the community People come and go we’re all just caretakers. In the end the properties endure if we prioritize their significance to each towns story.
