Friday, August 23, 2024 American Cruise Lines (ACL) reached a significant milestone this week with the christening of its latest addition, American Liberty, in Newport, Rhode Island. The event marks the launch of the third ship in ACL’s innovative Project Blue Series, a groundbreaking fleet of 100-passenger coastal catamarans designed to offer luxurious and sustainable cruising experiences along America’s coastlines. The christening ceremony was held at Fort Adams State Park, a historic location where ACL’s small ships dock when visiting Newport, symbolizing the company’s deep connection to the region and its commitment to environmentally friendly cruising.

American Liberty, like its sister ships, American Eagle and American Glory, is part of ACL’s ambitious Project Blue Series, which plans to introduce 12 new small ships to the company’s growing fleet. This series of vessels is characterized by its unique design and intimate size, accommodating just 100 guests, which allows for a more personalized and exclusive cruising experience. The ship features a distinctive catamaran bow, providing stability and smooth sailing, along with four decks that offer a range of luxurious amenities typically reserved for larger cruise ships.

The interior of American Liberty has been designed with elegance and comfort in mind. Guests can enjoy private balcony accommodations, which offer stunning views of the surrounding landscapes, as well as spacious lounges, both indoor and outdoo.
