Cory Glenn and Krystal McCoy, to the Board of Directors of the Organization of Black Aviation Professionals (OBAP) . This nonprofit organization is committed to encouraging and advancing minorities in aviation and aerospace careers, providing crucial support to aspiring professionals in the industry.
OBAP promotes diversity by offering mentoring, scholarships, training, and youth-focused educational programs to support individuals pursuing careers in aviation. The appointments of Capt. Glenn and McCoy not only reflect their significant contributions to OBAP’s mission but also highlight American Airlines’ ongoing commitment to enhancing access and opportunities in aviation careers.
Capt. Cory Glenn, who serves as a check pilot on the Boeing 777, has a long-standing career in both military and commercial aviation. In his role as the Director of Pilot Recruiting & Development, Capt.
Glenn has played a pivotal role in attracting and increasing the number of female pilots and pilots of color at American Airlines. He has been a dedicated member of OBAP since 1998, and for more than a decade, he has directed or co-directed the organization’s ACE Academies , which expose middle and high school students to career opportunities in aerospace.
