Travel inquiries have risen by about 15% compared to last year, say industry insiders. “Many young professionals, business owners, couples without kids and small families avoid the festive rush and opt for nearby destinations that they can drive to for short getaways,” says Ankit Bajaj, owner of a travel company based in Ahmedabad.

Backpackers and bike enthusiasts often plan their adventures during these months,” adds another local travel company owner. The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) airport in Ahmedabad supports this trend with direct .
