A long-established city bakery has opened at Coventry Market . Luxury Bakery was founded more than five decades ago and has expanded in the city centre just in time for Christmas . Luxury Bakery was founded in 1970 by Alan and Jean Miles.
Couple Kayani and Thuvaraganathan Sathyanathan took over the decades-old business in 2019 and run two branches in the city, including on Longford Road . Kayani told CoventryLive they decided to open at Coventry Market as they were receiving requests from as far as Rugby , Stratford and Birmingham . She said: “We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us for the opening of our new branch at Coventry Market .
“We were thrilled to see so many of you enjoying our freshly baked bread, sandwiches and cream cakes. Your warm welcome and enthusiasm are the reason why we enjoy what we do here at Luxury Bakery.” Kayani said they will be selling freshly prepared sandwiches, cakes and bread as well as festive items in the run-up to Christmas .
She said the response they have received so far has been 'very good.' She said: “Customers are very happy to see our banner at Coventry Market , and they will quickly come and talk to us, they are very happy.” Customers can find Luxury Bak.
