Tuesday, October 1, 2024 Alstom , a worldwide frontrunner in smart and sustainable mobility solutions, is making significant strides to enhance its regional operations in Europe, following the acquisition of Bombardier Transportation three and a half years ago. Germany plays a crucial role in Alstom’s strategy, with the DACH region emerging as a major exporter, catering to clients beyond its own borders. Notably, all train deliveries to the Nordic countries originate from Germany, with 50% of Germany’s production directed toward this region.
This includes key projects such as the C30 Stockholm Metro in Sweden, Norske Tog’s 05 trains in Norway, and DSB’s IC5 in Denmark. To further support this growth and improve customer service, Alstom will merge its operations in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (DACH) with the Nordic cluster (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Iceland), starting in January 2025. In addition, Alstom appointed Mr.
Tim Dawidowsky to lead this new region. He will join Alstom on October 1, 2024 and will be based in Berlin. “Tim comes with extensive turnaround experience and a deep understanding of project based businesses, that will help us bring increased efficiencies.
