Buddy, Allu Sirish's latest movie which was released early this month, is now going digital after a poor run at the box office. Although there was not much hype before its release, the film could not draw significant attention and ended up being a disaster of monumental proportions in cinema houses. Nonetheless, individuals who did not go to theaters can still watch it from home very soon.

Netflix made an official announcement on Sunday, confirming the release of Buddy on August 30. The film will be streamed in different languages like Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada to increase its market coverage. Buddy is a remake of the Tamil film Teddy, which Arya starred in with direction by Magizh Thirumeni.

Sam Anton directed the Telugu adaptation while K.E. Gnanavelraja & Aadhana Gnanavelraja produced it under Studio Green Films.

The movie stars Allu Sirish and Prisha Rajesh Singh as lead actors, supported by actors including Ajmal Amir, Mukeshkumar and Ali. Music for Buddy is composed by Hiphop Tamizha making it even more enticing. As the OTT premiere approaches, Buddy may have a second wind across many languages reaching wider audiences.

On August 30th, viewers can tune into Netflix for the digital premiere of this movie..
