Hoda Kotb wore three sentimental necklaces that symbolize her next phase of life while announcing her departure from the “Today” show on Thursday. The morning show co-anchor looked chic in a light blue vest and white slacks as she added three of her most meaningful necklaces to share the life-changing news. All three necklaces are made by her close friend, jeweler Jennifer Miller, and represent her role as a mother to her two adopted daughters: Haley, 7, and Hope, 4.

The first necklace she added was a personalized diamond “M” letter charm necklace ($2,350). And though no one in her family shares a name beginning with the letter, the sparkling pendant has an even more special meaning. “‘M’ stands for Mom,” Kotb, 60, previously told viewers on a January 2022 episode of “Today With Hoda and Jenna.

” At the time, Kotb raved that the initial is “so me” and it’s the only one she “would want to wear if not my kids’ initials.” On top of that necklace, Kotb layered a Diamond Disc ($1,600) that reads, “I heart you to the moon and back” with a heart and moon, both filled in with diamonds. Kotb previously shared that she also got her daughters and her mom, Sameha Kotb, the same necklace for Christmas in 2023.

“I got my mom and my girls one of my favorite little necklaces [with] what I write on their notes every morning, which is, ‘I love you to the moon and back,'” she said on a January 2024 episode of the show. Lastly, Kotb added her signature Je.
