Alison Hammond has issued a two-word verdict over her Great British Bake Off co-star Noel Fielding after confessing she “can’t predict” what he will do next. The 49-year-old has returned for a second series of Bake Off, presenting alongside Noel after the departure of Matt Lucas. And while Alison says she wouldn’t put their pair together “on paper”, she believes they have “beautiful, natural chemistry”.

Although she admits working alongside the 51-year-old is considerably different to her This Morning job alongside Dermot O’Leary. She says she can ‘read his mind’ and knows what he is going to say next. Comedian Noel however often leaves Alison guessing.

Speaking to The Sun, she said: “Unlike with Dermot where I can predict what he’s going to say – I can read his mind – with Noel, I can’t predict what he’s going to say or do.” She added: “It’s really frustrating! But we’ve got the same sense of humour – which is a little bit naughty.” Bake Off judge Prue Leith echoed Alison’s thoughts and claimed that “nobody” can predict what Noel will do next.

She added: “He doesn’t know what he’s going to do next.” Alison admits she feels firmly part of the Bake Off family now, and admits she was “excited” to see everyone again. Noel has previously said a moment involving Alison is his favourite from the forthcoming series.

Rather than any of the show-stopping cakes presented by bakers, Noel says his highlight was Alison fallin.
