Earlier this year, the singer made a triumphant return to music, nine years after the release of her last album. The BGT judge launched her new single Ransom, which features a sample of Ini Kamoze’s Here Come the Hotstepper and was filmed in Jamaican with a reggae beat. Indeed in the music video for the single, Alesha once again stripped down to just a red bikini top and some denim pants, as she explained that she no longer has record label dictating to her, so she comes up with all the ideas herself.
She said: “It’s expensive putting out music. I’m an independent artist so it’s a lot, energetically, for me to put myself back out there. “At this point in my life and career, it’s just about what makes me feel good.
