Alka Bhatia, the sister of Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, has purchased two magnificent flats in Mumbai's Juhu district. Bhatia, who is married to real estate billionaire Surendra Hiranandani, head of Hiranandani Constructions, invested in the Prime Beach CHSL development on Gandhigram Road in Vile Parle West. According to the documents obtained by Zapkey, Akshay Kumar's sister Bhatia paid Rs 72 crore for the two flats.
According to The Economic Times report, the first flat, on the fifth floor, was purchased for Rs 45 crore, while the second, on the sixth floor, cost Rs 27 crore. The properties have a total built-up area of around 5,240 square feet, with a cost per square foot estimated at Rs 1.37 lakh.
The purchase also includes ten parking spots. The report added that the this acquisition strengthens the family's position in the affluent Juhu neighborhood, where Akshay Kumar also homes. In addition, the actor has a duplex in the building that faces the sea.
Recently, bollywood star Deepika Padukone has also purchased a massive property in Mumbai's affluent Bandra West district for Rs 17.8 crore. The flat, located on the 15th floor of the Sagar Resham co-operative society in the popular Bandstand neighborhood, was purchased through her company, KA Enterprises.
