Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut has predicted that Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar will lose the upcoming Baramati assembly election. NEW DELHI: Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut on Monday criticized Maharashtra deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar, claiming Pawar would lose the coming assembly election from his Baramati constituency. This follows Ajit Pawar's recent admission that fielding his wife, Sunetra, against his cousin Supriya Sule in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls was a mistake, and that politics should stay out of family matters.

Ajit Pawar joined the Shiv Sena-BJP government in Maharashtra last year with a faction of NCP leaders, leading to a split in the party founded by his uncle, Sharad Pawar. Despite expressing satisfaction over development work done in Baramati, Ajit Pawar mentioned that it might be time for the constituency to have a different MLA for comparison. Ajit Pawar has been the MLA from Baramati since 1991 and won the 2019 assembly elections by a significant margin against BJP's Gopichand Padalkar.

The state assembly elections are scheduled for next month. Responding to Ajit Pawar's recent statements, Sanjay Raut said, "There is no point in repenting about what he did to his uncle Sharad Pawar and his party. Ajit Pawar will definitely lose the Baramati assembly election.

" Raut accused Ajit Pawar of creating a split in the NCP and the Pawar family. He alleged that Ajit Pawar had taken control of Sharad Pawar's political party and symbol, referring to this as a be.
