This is the second time that the airport has hosted the museum exhibit, having previously hosted The Legacy of Kurt Vonnegut in 2020. Indy airport often hosts various exhibits and has recently been named the best medium-sized airport in the US for customer satisfaction .

A Kurt Vonnegut exhibit now on display at Indy Airport The Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library states that the exhibit is part of the Indianapolis airport's larger terminal optimization initiative, which showcases the community's culture, tastes, and talents. A number of local artists' artwork is now on display throughout the terminal.

The KIND Gallery is a temporary galley space located in Concourse A of the Indianapolis Airport. It was created in partnership with the Indy Arts Council in an effort to bring new exhibits to the airport (the gallery's name was inspired by the international airport code for the airport, "IND"). “Kurt Vonnegut loved Indianapolis, and Indy loves Kurt.
