Tuesday, August 13, 2024 airBaltic expands its network with a new Vilnius-Düsseldorf route, enhancing connectivity and solidifying its position as a leading Baltic airline. Latvian airline airBaltic has announced further expansion in Vilnius with a new route to Düsseldorf, Germany. Starting October 31, 2024, the cities will be connected twice weekly, year-round.
This marks the fourth direct destination from Vilnius to Germany, alongside existing routes to Berlin, Munich, and Hamburg. The new route is part of a risk-sharing collaboration between airBaltic and Lithuanian Airports, their third partnership of this kind. By closely monitoring market trends and passenger demand, we believe that the flights between Vilnius and Dusseldorf will be a strategically important route for Lithuania, as Germany is one of the country’s most significant economic partners.
