Monday, August 19, 2024 AirAsia Cambodia has launched a touching Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program titled “Every Cambodian Can Fly,” aiming to bring the joy of flying to those who have never experienced it before. As part of their mission to make air travel accessible to all, the initiative will give 75 underprivileged children from five different orphanages across Cambodia their first-ever flight experience. The children were flown to Siem Reap, the cultural heart of Cambodia, where they enjoyed a day of exploration.

Their adventure included a visit to the iconic Angkor Wat Temple, a lunch at Wat Preah Prom Rath, and a tour of the Angkor Wildlife and Aquarium. After a day full of excitement and learning, they returned to Phnom Penh on an evening flight. This initiative is designed not only to ignite a sense of adventure and build confidence among Cambodians but also to support Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet’s “Visit Siem Reap Year 2024” campaign.

By enriching the lives of these children, the program also aims to strengthen tourism efforts and celebrate the rich heritage of Siem Reap, showcasing its unique attractions to a broader audience. Beyond creating unforgettable memories for these children, this initiative represents the beginning of a broader effort to make air travel a more integral part of life in Cambodia. It underscores AirAsia Cambodia’s dedication to community engagement and marks the start of a movement to enhance accessibili.
