The route was relaunched after a five-year suspension, signaling the national carrier’s strategic response to growing demand. The twice-weekly flights, scheduled for Thursdays and Sundays, provide travelers with a new and efficient way to access the scenic French Riviera.
The inaugural flight, JU250, was greeted with much enthusiasm at Nice Côte d’Azur Airport, a key gateway to the south of France and the second-largest airport in the country. The return of this route is set to benefit both Serbian and French passengers, with quicker and more direct access between these two vibrant European cities. Air Serbia’s decision to reintroduce the Belgrade-Nice route wasn’t made in isolation.
The airline’s move was largely in response to a significant reduction in services by a competing airline. Recognizing a gap in the market and a growing demand for travel between Belgrade and Nice, Air Serbia was quick to act, seizing the opportunity to reestablish the connection. Boško Rupić, the General Manager for Commercial and Strategy at Air Serbia, highlighted that the company closely monitors market trends and adjusts its operations accordingly.
In this case, it was clear that there was a strong passenger interest in flights to Nice, which encouraged the airline to resume the service. The swift decision to respond to passenger needs reinforces Air Ser.
