Monday, January 27, 2025 Air India Express will connect all three Delhi NCR airports this summer, adding flights from Hindon, IGI, and the soon-to-open Noida International Airport. Tata Group’s budget carrier, Air India Express , is set to expand operations across all three Delhi NCR airports this summer. After recently announcing direct flights from Hindon Airport in Ghaziabad to Bengaluru, Goa, and Kolkata starting March 1, sources indicate the low-cost airline will also launch services from Noida International Airport around two months later, with commercial operations expected to begin by April 30.
Meanwhile, discussions regarding operations at Navi Mumbai International Airport, which is projected to open around the same time, are underway at the group level for both Air India and its low-cost subsidiary. With Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) already running at maximum capacity, adding flights in the region presents a logistical challenge for airlines. Currently, IndiGo is the only major Indian carrier to confirm plans for operations at both Noida and Navi Mumbai airports.
The airline has already conducted validation flights at these upcoming facilities. The Airports Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA) is reviewing the capital expenditure proposals submitted by Noida International Airport for approval, after which tariffs for the airport will be finalized. Ticket sales for flights from the new airport are expected to begin between Fe.
