Saturday, September 7, 2024 Air India, the foremost global airline in India, has proudly announced the successful launch of its New Distribution Capability (NDC) integration, marking it as the first Indian carrier to adopt this cutting-edge technology in airline distribution. By embracing the latest 21.3 schema from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Air India is revolutionizing how it offers products to travel agents, corporate clients, leisure and business travelers, and other distribution partners.

The implementation of NDC facilitates more personalized and efficient interactions between Air India and its network of travel partners, significantly improving the booking and travel experience. NDC, a travel industry initiative spearheaded by IATA, introduces a new XML-based data transmission standard designed to enhance how airline products are marketed across various channels. For Air India’s travel partners, this advancement means access to a broader range of offers and services, including customized flight packages and ancillary options, all available in real-time.

Travelers can anticipate a smoother booking process with enhanced transparency and access to the top deals across all sales platforms. “Implementing NDC is a significant milestone for Air India as we continue to innovate and enhance our distribution strategy. Our goal is to provide a seamless and efficient booking experience for our travel partners and customers,” said Nipun Aggarwal, Chie.
