It didn’t take any time for Perez to takedown Zheleznyakova in the initial minutes, but the first attempt was not successful. Zheleznyakova caught Perez’s kick and bolted down on the ground. Zheleznyakova didn’t ruin the time and gave Perez a chance to stand up but it was a pure mistake from Darya as Perez shot again and this time Zheleznyakova wobbled and Perez finally takedown Zheleznyakova on the ground.
Then Perez showed dominance on the ground and transformed her into an arm-triangle. Zheleznyakova didn’t escape from the choke and finally tapped in the first round. After winning the fight, Perez showed the France fans her signature twerk in the middle of the octagon.
Perez is now on a four-fight win streak and also this was Perez’s first finish in the octagon. Earlier, she missed the weight in weigh-in but now this victory will motivate her in the upcoming bouts.
