During his weekly press conference inside the Bruce Edwards Club Room at UC Davis Health Stadium on Monday, UCD head coach Tim Plough talked about this team having the bye this weekend. “I think you can talk in circles when you want your bye weeks,” Plough said. “You can argue that we’ve got some momentum, maybe you don’t want to stop the momentum.
” Plough said that, in general, he enjoys the bye week. “Anytime you have extra time to prepare for an opponent should be an advantage,” said Plough, whose Aggies will next play Northern Colorado in a Big Sky Conference game at UC Davis Health Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 1 p.
m. Guys who are nursing various injuries are another perk toward the bye week. “There’s definitely a lot of guys that are banged up,” Plough said.
“I think it comes at a good time. A chance for us to get healthy.” Plough noted during the conference that he and his coaching staff can sit down and evaluate players – including redshirt freshmen.
