MCU's new series Agatha All Along debuted this week, and it has confirmed that Scarlet Witch aka Wanda Maximoff is in fact dead. Played by Elizabeth Olsen, the character Wanda was introduced in the MCU with Avengers: Age of Ultron and her last appearance was in the recent release Doctor Strange Multiverse Of Madness. The character went through much turmoil in the last decade and finally met her end in the Doctor Strange sequel.

But fans were holding out hope that Wanda could return to the MCU. For one, she is too powerful and will be needed in the upcoming fights scheduled in the MCU like Doomsday and Secret Wars. Scarlet Witch and Agatha Harkness have bad blood since WandaVision.

At the end of the show, Wanda sets off to find her song Billy and Tommy after absorbing Agatha's powers and putting her into a spell to stay in Westview. As Wanda travels through the multiverse looking for her songs, she begins to use Dark powers and the Darkhold begins to corrupt her in turn. However, at the end of Doctor Strange 2, Wanda realises her mistake and to change the outcome she destroys every copy of the Darkhold.

In the process, she also destroys the mystical tome and Wundagore Mountain which crashes down on her hinting at her death. The film also showed Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) clearing things up when asked if Wanda made it. The actor can be seen shaking his head with a “No" and confirming the death.
