Saturday, September 21, 2024 Delta Air Lines is gearing up for a massive summer expansion in 2025, rolling out its largest-ever transatlantic flight schedule, featuring new routes and increased frequencies to some of Europe’s most sought-after destinations. With a focus on Italy and other popular European cities, Delta is offering more than 700 weekly flights to 33 destinations across the continent. Travelers can now enjoy new and direct flights from several U.

S. hubs, including New York-JFK , Atlanta, Boston, Minneapolis-St. Paul, and Detroit, giving them unprecedented access to iconic locations like Catania, Sicily, Naples, Rome, and Barcelona.

As the largest U.S. carrier in the Italian market, Delta is increasing service to Italy by over 10% year-over-year, making it easier than ever for travelers to enjoy the rich history, cuisine, and landscapes of this Mediterranean destination.

The most exciting addition is Delta’s first-ever nonstop service to Catania, Sicily, marking a groundbreaking development as no U.S. airline has offered direct flights to this southern Italian city before.

Beginning in May 2025, daily flights from New York-JFK will take passengers straight to the heart of Sicily’s cultural heritage, providing easy access to attractions like Mount Etna and the vibrant piazzas of Catania. Alongside this, Delta is adding more flights to Naples, further expanding its reach in southern Italy. Travelers can now book four-times-weekly flights from Atlanta to Napl.
