Police suspect these cases are linked to gang-related extortion . Around 9.30am on Saturday, two masked men on a bike fired three to four shots at 'Roshan Halwai' sweets shop in Sultanpur Mor, causing some glass damage but no injuries.
Police found a note with the names of gangsters, "Deepak Boxer Bhai, Ankesh Lakra Bhai and Vishal Bhai," linking the incident to protection money demands. Earlier at about 2.30 am, two men on a motorcycle fired five to six bullets at the entrance gate of Impress Hotel in Mahipalpur.
