It’s been a week since the Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor-starrer highly anticipated film Devara: Part 1 has hit theatres. The action drama film, directed by Koratala Siva, is performing well at the box office. As reported earlier, the makers have introduced the mass dance number Daavudi into the film starting yesterday, October 4.
A few theatres have included it in the morning shows, and by the end of the day, every theatre worldwide has screened the film with the new song. The initial response to the song has been overwhelmingly positive, and it remains to be seen how this addition will impact the film’s future performance. Earlier, since the day of the film’s release, many filmgoers took to social media and expressed their displeasure about the Daavudi song-and-dance sequence not being part of the film.
The peppy dance number, sung by Nakash Aziz and Akasa, had achieved great popularity and is till now said to have garnered over 45 million hits on Youtube.
