Former Eagles teammates Ben Cousins and Chris Judd will be forever bound by their 2006 premiership victory, but it was another Judd who caught Cousins’ eye during Monday night’s AFL Brownlow Medal. Twenty years on from her famous 2004 debut where she turned heads in a striking red dress, Bec Judd reunited with her old friend as a ceremony veteran. Escorting his sister Melanie to the event, Cousins sat cosily alongside the Jaggad apparel co-founder who was dressed immaculately in a pink corset gown.

They marked their reunion with a wholesome photo shared to Bec’s Instagram story. “OG’s only! @bencousins_official is on the gram. @instagram any chance of a blue tick for the Prince of Perth!?” she captioned the post.

A relative newcomer to social media, the 2005 Brownlow Medallist launched his Instagram page in June. Sharing a cute video of his family dog Daisy to announce himself, Cousins has since used the platform to offer glimpses into his gruelling Dancing With The Stars training regime as aired on Channel Seven. In 2019, Bec admitted she would “froth” over her husband’s former teammate well before their initial meeting.

“In high school, my group of best girlfriends, one of us...

had a life-size cut out of Ben Cousins at the beach with just a towel on in her bedroom,” she told KIIS FM. “We would always just froth at this picture.” The mother of four admitted Chris was her love at first sight, and that she never saw Cousins as a romantic prospect.
