Big news for cord-cutting fans of All Elite Wrestling (AEW): you'll soon be able to stream AEW programming on Max, and even get pay-per-view events through the platform. Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) and AEW announced in a press release on Wednesday that they've signed a multi-year renewal of their existing five-year relationship.
But this new agreement expands upon their previous partnership, adding streaming rights to the mix. As the press release explains, AEW Dynamite and AEW Collision will continue to air on Wednesdays on TBS and Saturdays on TNT, respectively. But for the first time, starting in January 2025, all AEW Dynamite and AEW Collision programming will simulcast on Max.
Additionally, sometime later in 2025, Max will begin to offer pay-per-view AEW events for a discounted price for subscribers. WBD notes that more details, including pricing info, will be shared at a later date. The announcement also mentioned "enhanced distribution rights" for social platforms and "building opportunities" for additional AEW content across linear and digital platforms, but didn't get into more specifics.
It's a massive get for the streaming platform, with AEW quickly rising in popularity since its inception in 2019.
