The “Drink Pink Kick-Off: Sip and Shop” held from noon to 3 p.m. at the Queensbury Tasting Room located at 395 Big Bay Road in Queensbury, will be bursting with crafts and activities, food trucks, and other vendors.
Entry is free. “This cause is near and dear to our hearts. I have spoken with so many customers and employees who have had their lives directly impacted by breast cancer,” said Sasha Pardy in a statement announcing the initiative.
Pardy is Adirondack Winery President and Co-Owner with her husband, Michael. “Drink Pink goes beyond raising funds; it’s our way of coming together to support those in our community and letting them know that we stand by them during this challenging time.” To reach their budget blockbuster, a portion of all direct-to-consumer sales from Sept.
16 through Oct. 31 will be donated to the American Cancer Society’s “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of the Adirondacks.” As part of the campaign, the winery will offer a variety of specialty products including a limited edition “Drink Pink Berry Breeze” wine.
The winery is also selling raffle tickets throughout the campaign for many unique baskets featuring donated goodies from area businesses. All raffle ticket sales are donated to “Making Strides.” Last year’s raffle baskets raised over $3,400.
The month-long fundraiser culminates with the “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of the Adirondacks” walk at City Park in Glens Falls on Sunday, Oct. 27. Over the .
