Isaac Adewole, described the appointment of Salako as the DG of NIMR as one of the best decisions made by former President Muhammadu Buhari. Speaking at the sendforth programme for the outgoing NIMR DG on Tuesday, Adewole commended the former president for making a decision that had yielded positive results for the institution and the healthcare sector. Adewole lauded the outgoing DG for his outstanding performance and transformation of NIMR.

He noted that Salako’s achievements were a testament to his vision, commitment, and leadership. The don highlighted Salako’s achievements, including the development of a strategic plan for NIMR, support for the fight against COVID-19, and introduction of innovative instruments and developments. He also commended him for prioritising the welfare of staff, saying it was a first in the history of NIMR.

He added, “We are celebrating in my picture a performer, a reformer. And again, today is your birthday. And I say happy birthday.
