Adele is said to be finally engaged to Rich Paul after months of speculation. The duo's potential wedding has long been the talk of the town - and it now appears the day is edging closer. It's reported the American sports agent, 42, popped the question to the Hello singer, 36, in her hometown, with the musician said to have given a prompt "yes" response.

Despite rumours circulating of the pair previously being engaged, it's claimed the proposal only took place last Thursday. It's said following a gleeful yes, Adele immediately FaceTimed friends and family to break the news to them. Speaking to The Sun , a source said: "Rich planned for the proposal to be in her hometown, and gave her an incredible four carat diamond ring.

They celebrated with champagne at Chiltern Firehouse the following evening." The pair had been seen looking smitten last week as they took in a basketball game between Team USA and South Sudan as part of the 2024 USA Basketball Showcase at the O2 Arena. They were sat courtside alongside a number of big names from the sport to which the clash.

Regarding their nuptials, the source said it is now an inside joke that Adele could make the "ultimate wedding singer" and said the pair could throw a lavish ceremony towards the end of next year. The Mirror has contacted Adele's representatives for comment. Any planned big day wouldn't be the first time Adele will be walking down the aisle.

The superstar was previously married to entrepreneur Simon Konecki between 2018.
