A bar has opened in Pontypridd as the town's first-ever speakeasy. Tipsy Owl, which was previously open on Bridge Street and ran pop-ups at Zucco Juice Bar, now has a brand new location. Described as a "hidden gem cocktail bar", you could easily walk past the new venture in Pontypridd without noticing it is there.

The bar is now located down a purple alley at 5 High Street, The Basement, sandwiched between a second-hand shop and a beauty salon. A short walk from the train station, the bar has both indoor and outdoor seating with gorgeous views of the River Taff. It has been totally renovated from scratch and officially opened on Friday, August 2.

Every three months there is a new specials menu featuring six to eight carefully curated cocktails that reflect the team's connection to the local area.
