Sunday, November 10, 2024 Singapore’s fifth wildlife park opens in March 2025, offering unique animal experiences and lush greenery at Mandai Wildlife Reserve. In March 2025, Singapore will welcome its fifth zoological garden, Rainforest Wild Asia, at the Mandai Wildlife Reserve. This new addition, accessible via Mandai Wildlife West, is poised to offer unique and immersive rainforest-themed experiences.
Spanning 13 hectares, Rainforest Wild Asia is designed with 10 distinct areas that cater to different levels of exploration, from leisurely walks to adventurous treks. Visitors can navigate through the park on broad, elevated pathways, complete with shaded rest areas that accommodate everyone, including those in wheelchairs or with strollers. For those seeking a more intense adventure, the park offers trails dotted with natural obstacles like logs, boulders, and water features, and even high-octane activities such as rock climbing, caving, and zip-lining with professional guidance and safety gear.
The park will also debut adaptable animal habitats, showcasing creatures like the red dhole and the babirusa at different times throughout the day to mimic natural environments. This dynamic setting not only stimulates the animals but also enhances visitor interactions. Rainforest Wild Asia, a new attraction in Singapore, hosts 29 different species and debuts several animals in the region, such as the endangered François’ langur and the Philippine spotted deer.
