By Kristi Palma A day of skiing in New Hampshire this December will cost less than the price of a latte. Skiers and riders can hit the slopes for $4 on Thursday, Dec. 19 at King Pine Ski Area in Madison, N.

The White Mountains ski area, known for its family-friendly atmosphere and affordability, first offered the one-day discount three years ago for its 60th anniversary. Since, the discount has become a “highly anticipated” annual tradition, officials wrote in a press release. King Pine has 45 skiable acres with 17 trails and six lifts.

Check out a map . An adult King Pine Ski area lift ticket this season costs $82 on weekends and holidays and $55 midweek. A ticket allows visitors access to the area’s Nordic trails and ice skating rink as well as its lifts and alpine trails.

“It’s an excellent opportunity for families and friends to enjoy the thrills of winter sports without breaking the bank,” officials wrote in a press release. “King Pine believes that skiing and snowboarding should be accessible to everyone, and a $4 Lift Ticket is just one way they make that a reality.” Can’t make it on Dec.
