By Kristi Palma A hotel inspired by the city’s textile manufacturing history just opened in Warwick, R.I. The Loom Hotel is a 163-room hotel along the Pawtuxet River, about 10 miles from downtown Providence.

The hotel, a Tapestry Collection by Hilton, opened Tuesday and is managed by Coury Hospitality. The hotel’s high ceilings, exposed brick, and polished concrete floors are inspired by the building’s textile mill history. Guests enjoy river front views, an on-site restaurant, a state-of-the-art fitness center, event spaces, and more.

There are king and queen rooms with plush bedding, including a king accessible room with a roll-in shower, and suites with separate living and work areas. Diners at the hotel’s restaurant, The Brook Kitchen + Bar , relax beside floor-to-ceiling windows and enjoy seasonally inspired New England classics. The restaurant is headed by executive chef Daniel Gibb, who was most recently the chef at Coury Hospitality’s award-winning restaurant The Chalkboard Kitchen + Bar Tulsa in Oklahoma.
