A Gavin and Stacey mural spray-painted onto the side of a house in the Vale of Glamorgan has been defaced. Gavin and Stacey fanatic Anya Clements had the mural painted on the side of her home in Dinas Powys a few miles from Barry Island last month, drawing lots of attention online. The mural, however, has now been scrawled over with paint, according to artist Tom Llewellyn, who calls himself Tee2Sugars.

Ms Clements was so angry by what happened she reported the incident to South Wales Police who are now investigating the vandalism and have appealed for help from the public with their enquiries. Ms Clements said: “If anyone in the Murch area has CCTV footage at 7.40pm (on July 31) please let me know.
