Founded in 1986 by brothers Luigi and Giovanni Pascale, the company initially focused on producing and building aerospace parts for other manufacturers, including Boeing and ATR . Later, when they became more competitive, the siblings entered the light-sport aircraft market with the model Tecnam P92 , which was very successful.
Tecnam has two production facilities in Naples, Italy: the Casoria facility near Naples International Airport, and the Capua facilties, adjacent to the Oreste Salomone Airport. It also has sales and delivery facilities in Florida, the US, and Australia and a team of over 250 staff members.
