“Celebration in Nigeria presently is not about the acceptance of morality values and ethos, but the complicity of a new definition that praises thieves and murderers, especially in the public space.” — DSM. Nigeria is 64 years old by 1st October, 2024, and unfortunately, there was no celebration of existence, except a nation under a self-inflicted mourning period.

A delusional impression that Nigeria is a normal entity. Nigeria is dying..

. and sadly, we are all pretending that, THERE IS A COUNTRY in existence. When they say that a fool at 40 is a fool forever, I am seriously confused right now of what a fool at 64 will be referred to.

I was in tears when I watched VDM’s video clip, where the Borno State government evacuated all the inmates of the main IDP camp in that state and with a miserable token of N10k per inmate. This is a state that I praised its Governor last week, but I am trying to figure out what actually happened to Prof Babagana Umara Zulum(my mentor). A celebration of freedom has become the worst scenario of heartlessness.

I began to wonder if our leaders are truly human beings. The citizens who have lost their homes due to flood menace are now on the streets. What will happen to the children who ought to be part of a celebration of a 64-year-old nation? Nigerian leaders are the worst trajectories of a vampire empire.

Yet, our president is waving us goodbye for a vacation when many Nigerians are on the streets with no hope of survival. It’s so.
