Five Bolton Market businesses received a big boost last week in the form of a five-star rating from Food Hygiene. The five food hall businesses received an inspection on Tuesday, September 10 some three months after arriving in the town. Cluck Cluck Chicken, Kebab Fuzion, Sweet Drinks and Desserts Place, Stefano's Pizza and What's Your Beef are the traders in question and they told The Bolton News what a big boost a five-star rating is to them and to all of the traders in terms of the reputation of Bolton Market.

Shuib Anwar, from Kebab Fuzion, and Wad Anwar, from What's Your Beef, said trade is strong and it is set to be stronger upon the completion of the construction of more than 200 homes in their surroundings. "I looked at what I needed to do and how I needed to do it so I am pleased and I am proud of our five-star food hygiene rating." Wad said: "We have a five-star food hygiene rating at all of our sites. We keep up all the processes and all the procedures throughout the year to keep up those standards.

"To have a five-star food hygiene rating at five of the places in the food hall is even better." (Image: Newsquest) The food hall is one of a number of investments into the town centre from the Towns Fund. Other investments include Bolton Library, Bolton Museum and Elizabeth Park.

The food hall is open five days a week i.
