Wickaninnish Inn sits on the rocky coastline of Tofino , blending into the remarkable nature surrounding it. A visit there will immerse you into the unique landscape of Vancouver Island, with ancient rainforest, rugged shores and salty air. That, and more, is what earned this B.

C. resort a place among the best in the world, on a recent ranking. Condé Nast Traveller released their "best resorts in the world: 2024 Readers' Choice Awards" list, and Wickaninnish Inn was a favourite among readers.

The ranking was divided up by regions, and the Tofino resort took the top spot among the USA & Canada, with an overall average level of satisfaction score of 99.17. Right behind Wickaninnish Inn was some unbelievably beautiful competition like the Four Seasons Resort Hualālai in Hawaii.

There was only one other Canadian resort to make the list — Cabot Cape Breton in Inverness, Nova Scotia. It seems like dramatic Canadian landscapes were key when it came to CN Traveller's reader's picks because Cape Breton also offers up some picturesque ocean views, on the other side of the country. Tofino is a pretty unique place though, as a popular summer destination with stretches of sandy beaches and towering old-growth forests.

The environment here is what draws people in, and the Wickaninnish Inn highlights that every step of the way, putting a spotlight on the natural elements. The inn is just outside of the town of Tofino, making it seem that much more tucked away from the outside world. Y.
