Vadodara: Five people died when the van in which they were travelling collided head-on with a tanker near an ITI College in Gollav village near Godhra on Friday. According to sources, the tanker was going from Devgadh Baria in Dahod district to Vadodara, while the van was going from Godhra to Chhota Udepur. The van was badly mangled due to the impact of the collision .

Those commuting on the road and present near the accident spot rushed to help the injured, who were shifted to different hospitals. It is believed that two persons died on the spot, while three were declared dead at hospitals. Two others were seriously injured.

The van driver was identified as Raju Rathwa from Chhota Udepur.
