Prayagraj: The Kumbh Mela police authorities have chalked out plans to provide etiquette lessons to around 30,000 policemen, including home guards, to be deployed during the fair. This is to ensure tourists at Maha Kumbh are greeted sympathetically and courteously. The drill has been drafted to ensure that policemen strike a good impression on millions of visitors, including foreign nationals arriving at the tent city to take a glimpse of ‘divya’ and ‘bhavya’ Kumbh.

SP (Kumbh Mela) Rajesh Dwivedi told TOI, “Mela police have drafted an elaborate plan to impart soft skills training to around 30,000 policemen who would be assigned duties during the 2025 Kumbh. Around 10 percent of forces for Kumbh will start arriving at Kumbh camps in October, and these policemen would be imparted three weeks of special training.” He added, “While 40 and 50 percent of police forces would arrive at the mela campus in November and December respectively, they would be imparted two and one week of special soft skills training to greet visitors.

” Apart from the soft skill training schedule, senior mela police authorities have drafted a blueprint to hold special training sessions for cops for better crowd and traffic management for Kumbh Mela.
