Pune: One person was seriously injured and two women suffered minor injuries after a car driver tried to run them over following a fight over the latter’s vehicle blocking a narrow stretch along Tulapur-Alandi road in Lonikand around 11.15pm on Tuesday, reports Asseem Shaikh. The car driver, Gaurav Lagad (22) of Parthardi in Ahmednagar, and one of his accomplices, Avinash Shelke (38), a private firm employee residing in Alandi, were arrested on Wednesday.
Another aide, Surekha Savane (30), a beautician from Tulapur, was arrested on Thursday. A magisterial court ordered their custodial remand till Sept 2. Police identified the seriously injured victim as Jagdish Shivekar (30), of Rajgurunagar in Khed.
He suffered injuries to his head, stomach and face. He was admitted to a private hospital in Talegaon Dabhade in an unconscious condition and had not regained consciousness till Thursday, police said.
