As many as three illegal liquor units were bulldozed at Salia Sahi in Bhubaneswar following a raid by the Commissionerate Police on Saturday. Huge amount of country liquor and other manufacturing equipment were seized during the raid. After receiving information from reliable sources, the Commissionerate Police team led by DCP Prateek Singh and other senior officials reportedly reached the spot and conducted the raid.

As per reports, a secret underground chamber was found inside a room during the raid. Illegal trading of country liquor was going on inside the secret chamber. All kinds of luxurious goods including Wi-Fi facilities were there inside the secret chamber.

“Acting on reliable information, we conducted a raid at Salia Sahi in Bhubaneswar and busted the illegal liquor units. We found that illegal country liquor business was going on inside the secret chamber. We have zero tolerance towards illegal trading of liquor and we are taking stern action accordingly,” said DCP Prateek Singh.

“We have detained some persons in connection with the case. Some others are on the run. We have identified all of them and they will be nabbed soon,” said Singh.

Notably, following the Ganjam hooch tragedy, the newly-formed BJP government has been taking stern action against the illegal liquor units across the State..
