The steep, narrow and twisting strip of blacktop is spectacular: often with just a half-metre-high stone wall on one side, separating you from a long view across the Mediterranean – and a vast drop.

These short walls almost guarantee that if you misjudge a turn, your car will tip over and you’ll land on your roof rather than on your wheels. However, it’ll be so far down, it probably won’t make much difference how you finish up. Loading.
