Electric vehicle (EV) brand Zeekr’s first model in Australia will be the small X SUV, and the Chinese brand has now released initial specification details. The release comes after yesterday’s announcement of preliminary pricing for the Zeekr X. The electric SUV is due to launch here in October.

The Zeekr X in single-motor rear-wheel drive guise will open at under $60,000 before on-road costs, while the dual-motor all-wheel drive model will open at under $70,000 before on-road costs. Final pricing will be announced closer to the X’s launch in October, but these preliminary details suggest it could undercut the Volvo EX30 crossover with which it shares its Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) underpinnings. While Zeekr has published range and charging specifications for Australian-delivered X models, energy consumption hasn’t been detailed.

Figures below are taken from European WLTP testing. The incoming Zeekr X is yet to be crash tested by ANCAP. Standard safety equipment on all models includes: There are two grades of Zeekr X coming to Australia, though it’s not clear how they will differ in standard equipment.

Standard equipment on the Zeekr X includes: The AWD adds: There are a selection of options available for the Zeekr X, though it’s unclear whether they’ll be available on both the RWD and AWD models. Optional extras include: Five exterior colour options are offered, along with three two-tone interior colours and two alloy wheel designs. Any additional.
