Now three years into its life cycle, work is well underway on an updated version which appears to not only bring fresh aesthetics, but also an expected boost in performance, driving range, and charging speeds when it launches next year.

While the updated model was spied sporting an obtrusive black cloak, it's still possible to make out a new front bumper and updated headlight units with smaller LED lights over the current version. Changes to the rear appear to be less pronounced and are more difficult to make out, though the test model was spotted with a new alloy wheel design which will join the list of exterior cosmetic tweaks. The new car's interior looks largely identical to the current model, except for a small tweak to the shape of the steering wheel's centre piece that now mimics the front grille signature, with a third spoke also added and the bottom now flattened.
