The 2024 Major League Baseball draft will take place from Sunday, July 14, through Tuesday, July 16. It used to happen several weeks earlier in the year, but MLB is trying to make the draft a major event, similar to the NBA or NFL , and having it coincide with the All-Star break is part of that plan.
