THE DALLES — Local artisans will sell one-of-a-kind, locally made gifts at The Dalles Art Center (TDAC)’s Holiday Artisan Market. The market begins with a celebration on Thursday, Nov. 14 and runs through Dec.

29. It opens 5-7 p.m.

Holiday shoppers can find fine art, artisanal crafts, and locally made gifts from Columbia Gorge artisans. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to be the first to explore the beautiful, handmade pieces from local artisans, each one unique. With the market running through December 29, there’s plenty of time to find the perfect gifts that support both your local art center and our talented community artists,” said Pam Westland, TDAC Board Chair.

She added, “For artists and craftspeople still interested in participating, we’re accepting submissions up until the market begins on November 14. Don’t miss this chance to showcase your work!” So far, this year’s participating artists include painter Jodi Wright, Teresa Hepker (batik and ice-dyed fabric items), Judy Pearson (oil and acrylic paintings, cards, and ornaments), Chris Bush (handmade baskets), Kristin Arens (hand-carved block-printed tea towels), Sally Ann Kortge (multimedia Christmas art), EJ Davis (fridge magnets and small prints), Claire Graper (fiber works and mixed media), Anna Goodwin (knitted and crocheted ornaments and holiday decor), Anna Backer (paintings and wood bowls), Cynthia Arnett (earrings), and The Freedom Sisters Roadshow up-cycled functional art by artists Barbar.
